It has certainly been a festive-filled week in the lead up to our only day off in the year … Christmas!
We’ve had Christmas Jumper Day, bring your kids-to-work-day, Tayto, Ormo and Dale Farm giveaways for passengers, and U105 broadcasting as families gathered at the airport to greet loved ones returning home for the holiday.
And to add to that, we had our busiest day of the week on Friday with 25,000 passengers passing through the terminal and over 100 arriving and departing aircraft.
By the end of December, we will see a record-breaking year with passenger numbers exceeding 5.8M for the first time ever.
Our Managing Director, Graham Keddie said: “At the end of this very busy period at the airport, I’d like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the year. The passengers who have travelled through the airport, concessioners, airline, stakeholders, CR partners, the media and our staff who support every venture we undertake.
“May I wish everyone a very happy Christmas from Belfast International Airport.”
