Do you need a covd-19 test before you fly?

Belfast International Airport is working in collaboration with leading global diagnostics firm, Randox, to provide quick and affordable tests for its passengers. A new walk in testing facility has been launched at the airport, providing rapid PCR tests for those who require a negative test before travelling on any essential journeys.

Departing Northern Ireland

Travellers coming to Northern Ireland do not need to:

  • complete a passenger locator form
  • show proof of vaccination status
  • take any pre-departure or post arrival tests

The safety and well-being of our staff and passengers is our number one priority. We are continuing to rigorously implement all guidance from the Public Health Agency and remain in regular contact with all relevant authorities. 

Simple steps to avoid catching or spreading COVID-19 include:

  • Washing hands with soap and water often and for at least 20 seconds
  • Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
  • Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
