Top Tips for Travelling over the Easter Holidays

Spring into Holiday Mode – Easter is nearly here! If you are travelling over the holidays check out our top travel tips to make your journey that little bit smoother

1: BE PREPARED

As you would pack a suitcase for holidays, you should also prepare for your journey through the airport. Have all documents ready, make sure your hold luggage is the correct weight and ensure all hand luggage is the correct size as per airline, and double check it is security ready.

2: TIME – it’s holiday season

Please give yourself extra time for your journey through the airport. Check with your airline for details of check-in and bag drop opening times, we recommend arriving at the airport at least two hours before your flight departure time.

3: KEEP TRAVEL ESSENTIALS HANDY

Make sure your tickets and boarding pass, travel insurance, driving license, currency and credit cards are safe but easily accessible. It’s also mindful to carry a charger for your smartphone and have your airline information ready.

4: BE SECURITY READY

  • LIQUIDS – Including crème filled eggs

You heard us, crème filled eggs may be considered a risk under the 100ml liquid rule, you may be stopped.

Remember, you can only take liquids in individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100ml on the plane. Each item should be removed from hand luggage and placed in a transparent, re-sealable plastic bag of not more than one litre capacity per passenger.

  • ELECTRONICS

Before reaching security, we ask that you remove your laptop, tablet or similar electronic devices from your hand luggage to be inspected separately.

  • CLOTHING

Coats, jackets belts, and boots should also be removed as this helps speed up the security process.
